A shoutout to Modern Skirts for putting on great shows and being all-around swell guys. You can catch the Skirts with us at the Cat's Cradle Sept 22nd. 7.31.07 TOC has been tearing up the highways lately. Some Older News Items 5.15.07 Check out our new "Papers in Order" video, directed by Sam Griffith. 5.1.07 Our Midwest tour and shows with Cake were a great success, in that we didn't get arrested and we did play in front of a ton of new folks. Thanks to everyone who came and saw us, or even to the people who came to see Cake, but liked us anyway! 4.14.07 New reviews exceeding the number at which you can shake a stick on the press page. 4.13.07 We've just announced that we'll be joined at our May 4th Cat's Cradle show by Thad Cockrell and his great band. Advance tix are $8 ($10 at the door), so you might want to stop by the cat's cradle and pick up your tickets now. see you all soon! 
4.2.07 MIDWEST SHOWS! We've just added our first midwest shows and they're coming up in just a few weeks, including Chicago, Louisville, and Minnesota (opening for CAKE). We'll be adding a few more, so check back in soon! 2.28.07 Well, the Zippers shows were a blast - they all sold out, and the Zips played great. Our very own Gabriel Pelli and Mark Simonsen joined them onstage for a lot of their set (Gabe stepping into the gargantuan shoes of Andrew Bird with style and confidence), and we enjoyed the hang. Then we headlined some shows in NYC this past week, including a show at NYC's swanky rock spot Joe's Pub. And lo and behold, that show sold out too. We were thrilled, needless to say. And then we got to return to Django's old hood in Brooklyn for a night of really cool bands, including our old friend Chris Moore of Moore n Sons and our new friend Megan of Last Town Chorus. Coming up, we've got our Nashville debut coming up March 20th at the Basement, and a return to Smith's Olde Bar in Atlanta (Early show Mar 21), as well as some possible surprises, so stay tuned. 1.24.07 Sorry for the gap in news. We've been keeping our myspace page more up to date lately. That said, we've got LOTS of great news. We're doing a mini-tour with the SQUIRREL NUT ZIPPERS in February. We've been chosen as one of the EIGHT GREAT ACTS OF THE TRIANGLE by David Menconi at the Raleigh News-Observer, and we've got a lot of shows coming up all over, including NYC. Hope to see you all soon, and thanks for buying the record and sending us feedback; it makes us very happy to know you're enjoying it and we appreciate you spreading the word! 10.23.06 We had an amazing string of shows this month - thanks to everyone who came out and made us feel at home on the road. We thank all the stations that have been playing us and had us on for their support. Also, thanks to all who came out to our shows in Richmond and at the 506 this weekend.
