Pillbox) and a rotating cast of strings, horns, and other musical curiosities. They play the "pop-noir" end of Django's repetoire, with an effect similar to The Bad Seeds backing up Sinatra in the 50's. Their first public performance was just announced today - opening for NYC's Les Sans Culottes at Local 506 on Wed, Aug 18th at 10pm sharp. Come be a part of history!

"Dumbed Down," from Laying Low and Inbetween, has been used on the WB's Felicity for the first season's halloween episode. One wonders whether the intended irony of the song is cancelled out by the fact that it appears on a WB teen show...Regardless, now you can relive the joy and tears while bouncing along to Django & the Regulars.
Django & the Regulars are featured in Billboard Magazine. "...an album that demands the attention of anyone who wonders why rock music is so darn tedious these days...if you want to see a great band making even better music, hunt this one down." Read the whole article.
Django's solo European tour was a great success. Thanks to all who helped out and who came to the shows. You can watch the 12-Bar show in London here. Also, check out the new photo album.
Django & the Regulars' album, Laying Low and Inbetween is being distributed by the national indie label, ModMusic Records, distributed through Big Daddy. You can still purchase the record directly at shows or through this site, and it is available now in selected non-virtual stores nationwide.
We recorded and mixed the album upstate at The Clubhouse (where Natalie Merchant & George Clinton among others have recorded), and includes remixes of the tracks from the Don Fleming Sessions.
Django has a song featured in the major motion picture soundtrack for Steal This Movie, a film about Abbie Hoffman starring Vincent D'Onofrio and Janeane Garafolo. The album is put out by Varese Sarabande.
Four tracks from Laying Low are also featured in the independent film, "The Manhattan Dating Project," which hit festivals this year and is being aired in Israel as well as on NYC's own Metro Channel.

NEW! Check out the new photo album from the "Never-Ending Tour 2002-3."
